NYS Concealed Carry Course
The New York State required 16-hour classroom course plus 2-hour live fire for new concealed-carry / pistol-permit applicants.
New York State requires new concealed-carry / pistol-permit applicants to complete a state-mandated firearms safety course before licensing. Trident Tactical delivers the full curriculum so you leave prepared, compliant and confident.
Course Structure
- 16 hours of classroom instruction covering safe handling, NY law, use-of-force, storage and situational awareness
- 2 hours of live-fire range training to demonstrate safe, competent shooting
- Documentation you need for your county pistol-permit application
- Re-qualification options for license renewals
Requirements & What to Bring
You must meet New York State eligibility requirements to apply for a pistol permit. We will confirm the current classroom and live-fire requirements with you at registration and advise on what to bring. Eye and ear protection and range firearms can be arranged.
Course requirements are set by New York State and your county licensing authority and may change. We always teach to the current standard.
Who It Is For
New pistol-permit applicants across New York, and current permit holders who need a refresher or re-qualification. Bring your commitment to doing it right — we handle the rest.
